This book “Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques” by Steve Nison in Japanese Candlestick Patterns is my all time  Personal favorite. When I begin my quest to learn technical analysis after being a consistent failure in trading for over 1.5 years in a row, I started with this book.

And I seriously felt in love with technical analysis with Japanese candlestick charts by the time I discovered the true beauty and value of the candlestick charts in Financial Trading.

This book contains almost all the necessary information to identify the major and important candlestick patterns, whether its a reversal candlestick pattern or continuation candlestick pattern in any of the investment markets.

In the first part of the book Mr Steve Nison started the book by explaining the basic construction of the Japanese candles in a candlestick chart.

And then in the following chapters he described the  reversal candlestick patterns, the continuation patterns, the start candlestick patterns, the Doji candlestick patterns and some other most important reversal and continuation patterns that can be found in any candlestick charts.

He also explained the practical use of the major candlestick patterns with some other tools and indicators like Candles with trend lines, candles with moving averages, candles with retracement levels, candles with oscillators and many of the other candlestick charting techniques to analyze and trade any kind of securities in the financial trading markets.

If someone has no previous knowledge or has a little knowing of the Japanese candlestick patterns and charts with the candles and wants to improve their technical trading skills, then this book is a must for them to start with.

The other one is a complete beginner friendly while this copy of the book contains more for the intermediate to advanced candlestick traders, though the book starts with the basics which will the complete beginners who has no idea what are the Japanese candlestick are.

In this 219 pages book, other than explaining the candlestick basics and the detailed explanation of the major Reversal and Continuation candlestick patterns, Steve Nison also included one special section explaining his 20 most important trading guidelines with the candlestick patterns.

There are twelve valuable lessons for those who wants learn and re learn how to use the Japanese candlestick patterns in their own trading.

He also gave critical tips and side lights to improve trading the candlestick patterns in a candlestick based price action chart.

This 360 pages book “Candlestick Charting For Dummies” written by Russel Rhoads is another fine basic to advanced candlestick book by For Dummies series, which is written is plain English explanation.

The book covers almost all the necessary information to learn and trade the candlestick patterns in any financial trading markets.

This book covered details of the construction and identification of the basic candlestick patterns in the charts.

It also explained the single-stick to multiple-stick forms of the different candlestick patterns and their usage on both the bullish and bearish markets.

Russel Rhoads also showed how to avoid false trade signals when a candlestick patterns forms does not show the actual reversal point in a price action chart, also how to interpret different complex looking candlestick patterns.

Despite explaining the candlestick patterns to identify the market sentiment, he also shows some other important tips and techniques to use the candlestick patterns with some of the technical indicators to even have more accuracy in trading with candlestick charts.
